Shake Off the Sugar Newsletter
Spring 2008
Not only are your food choices important, but spring is a good time to examine your exercise routine. Warmer weather is on its way. No more heavy clothes to disguise those extra pounds that seemed to mysteriously appear over the winter months! Regular, well-paced walks can boost your metabolism and help your body burn food more efficiently. If walking is not your cup of tea, select an exercise that you can enjoy. Set goals for yourself, increasing the difficulty as time passes. Change your routine, so that you can enjoy the experience. Be sure to incorporate stretching exercises, like yoga, for flexibility. Then, mix it up with an aerobic exercise like brisk walking on other days. Whatever you choose, commit to it for three weeks. Then, it will become a habit you will not want to break.
