Low Carb & Low Glycemic Recipes from the Web

Halloween can be a fun time, but we all find ourselves surrounded by sugar! If you do buy candy for the little ones, be sure to chose something that will not tempt you. And, whatever you do, never allow the candy to be opened until the night of Halloween. Some better options for the trick or treaters are snack-sized bags of pretzels or nuts, small wrapped dark chocolates, sunflower seeds, or whole grain crackers. You can skip the edibles altogether and provide treats like pencils, stickers or party favors. For fun, here are a few recipes from the web:
Deviled Mice - A clever deviled egg recipe for your Halloween platter.
Bat Wings with Swamp Dip - Spicy and savory, this will appeal to the older crowd!
Wiggly, Jiggly Crystal Ball -Be sure to use sugar-free jello for this pretty concoction from FamilyFun.com.
Black Bean Cat Crudites - Also from FamilyFun.com, this is a great presentation for healthy veggies and dip!
